Welcome to Everdell: Essentials Edition

Deep in the forest of Everdell, beneath the branches of the mighty Evertree, small forest animals are building a flourishing civilization. In Everdell: Essentials Edition, you lead your own party of forest animals and attempt to build the most beautiful and successful city in the forest over four seasons.

Everdell is a strategic board game centered on worker placement, tableau building, and resource management. During the game, you send your critters out to collect twigs, resin, pebbles, and berries, draw cards, and visit special locations. With these resources, you build a city of up to 15 buildings and forest animals, where cards reinforce each other and form increasingly stronger combinations. Each turn, you choose whether to place a worker, play a card, or prepare for the next season. After each season, your animals return to be deployed again and go on adventures in the next season.

The game consists of over 150 cards, of which only a select few are played per session. Therefore, you receive different card combinations every session. The game ends when a full cycle of seasons has been played. The player with the most points then wins the game.
